Before ruling out the fuse, many vehicles have separate fuses for hazards and turn signals - check both. If all fuses good, then check bulbs. On some vehicles a bad bulb can affect the entire circuit. If not bulbs then check flasher relays, and check for two of them - turn signal and hazard. If it ends up being a bulb, see sources and related links below for bulb information.
Not typically. answer yes the hazard lights stop turn sinals from working there are only 2 elements in the bulb one for stop and one for turn hazars use same eement as turns signals it is for that reason that it is illegal in most states to actually drive with your hazards working they are supposed to be used only when stopped
turn signal switch needs replaced!
in dash lights
If the turn signals on a car works but the hazard lights do not there may be a problem with the flasher switch. The flasher is located in the steering column, and a damaged unit can cause the lights to stop working.
You may have blown a fuse or a flasher.
change the turn signal flasher flasher could be a fuse
More detail: the turn signals slowed down gradually and then stopped working. All lights still flashed when hazard lights switch was activated. The bulbs and fuses are all okay, and I have replaced the hazard flasher (which I think is a combo hazard/turn signal unit). Can't see any other flasher unit under the panel, don't know what else to try. Any ideas?
your hassard lites have a separate flaher relay change it.
The turn signal and the hazard lights each have their own relay. Sounds like you have to replace both relays.
Try pushing the hazard light switch on steering column repeatedly. I had a strange problem with my hazards once and this fixed it for now. I think my problem was the signals not working though....
first make sure hazard lights are not on.next you need to ckeck the grounds from the battery.
Hazard lights should only be used when your car is stopped or coming to a stop. Using them while you are actually still driving can be dangerous. Other drivers will be unable to tell if you are going to change lanes or get off the road because your turn signals or 'blinkers' will not work when your hazard lights are on.
