Hi, This is a guess but at least it'll be a statrt. Could the switch assy be either bad or if the contacts are cleanable can they be cleaned. The switch assy is on the steering colume. You need to remove the plastic covers and take a look at the switch assy. I'm having an interminnent problem that's close to that, and that's where I'm looking. I've seen some switch assys for sale on E-Bay. Just type in Tracker and see what comes up otherwise find a local salvage yard and you'll probably pull the part yourself. Hope this helps. Steve H. The above answer is a possibility but the most logical cause of this is a blown fuse or bad Flasher Relay. Any parts store can tell you the location. I would check the fuse first and then replace the flasher if the fuse is OK, before doing anything else. Very cheap and easy repair.
The 2002 Geo Tracker flasher relay switch is located beneath the dashboard, on the driver side of the passenger compartment. The flasher relay switch simply plugs in and out.
I don't know what a thermal flasher is.
The tun signal flasher on a 1998 Chevy Tracker is located in the dash on the driver's side. It is to the left above the brake pedal.
change the turnsignal switch i have done this several times, my tracker has 335,000 original miles
Front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted near fuse panel.
There is a short in the switch. Replace it/.
AnswerThe Flasher is located direstly above the fuse panel under the drivers side dash. You have to remove the 2 screws holding the fuse panel up and you can feel the flasher mounted on the top side of the metal panel the fuse panel mounts to.This is the same for a 94 tracker. I just got done doing this on my 1991 Tracker, and found the flasher in the same place. It must not have changed through 95. It was a knuckle buster, and I suggest removing the front access pannel (below steering wheel for a better view. Had to use a screwdriver (from front panel) to pry the unit up and out of it's slide mount - generic replacements do not have the mounting slides. I remounted it by taping it off to a more accessable location - just in case it comes up in the future.
Hi, I have to add that I have a '97 and I went out to find the flasher. All I can say is that I can hear it, but I can't find the darn thing. It sounds as if it's near the radio...but I'm befuddled. So just a small thing is the fuse first, it's located below the dash on the left. The other fuse is under the hood but that one is also for the ignition. I hope someone is able to locate the flasher itself. Steve H.
fuse, swich, cut wire or the flasher could be out. iwould put my money on the flasher.
where is the oil pump located in chevi tracker 2.0 L
A cable tracker is a device which uses electronically emitted signals to source electrical cables within a building. The tracker has a tone generator and probe to follow the cabling and can notify the user of any breaks.
Hi, Your flasher button should be on the top of the steering column. Steve H.
