Emo's view on life is that we were all put on earth for a reason.
We are given a task and put on a certain path.......
It is impossible to go off of the path because if you do...then it was planned for you to do so.Once you've completed your task you die.
In a way Emo is short for emotional....we are very emotional beings....We are only human we don't believe we are witches we don't worship the devil......We do believe we are misunderstood....Think about it...Pretend you know a secret that everyone deserves to hear...But its not your secret to tell....You act on the knowledge that secret gives you but nobody understands your decisions because once again its not your secret to tell......Some ask us why we cut and take pills but we never finish the job of suicide....because we're not suicidal. We can't kill ourselves because its not on some of our paths...
Okay were I said we are given a task and after we complete it we die?? you may ask what was the task of a newborn that died......
Imagine a woman that has an amazingly bright future......
She meets a drug addict......and starts drugs......It may seem like she's off that path right??
We'll she finds out she's pregnant....after she gives birth the child dies and she's told its because of her drug addiction...
She stops and either leaves her boyfriend or he stops to....
She continues on her bright path accepting what happened but not forgetting it so she never forgets what drugs did....
At some point she can have another child...and soon die..
or she could die and meet her only child in heaven...

No, just because you hate people, does not mean your emo, it just means your not really a people kind of person. The answer to your question would be no, not all people that hate other mean they are emo and emo is not about hating people, so you can't call yourself an emo just by hating people. I would probably say you are a people-hater not an emo.

Many people believe that you are emo if you cut yourself, if you are depressed etc... this is stereotypical and is certainly not the case. You know you are emo when music like heavy metal, screamer etc becomes a fairly big subject in your life. You also know that you are emo when you dont act the same as non-emo's, i.e. listening to dubstep. And you also find yourself wearing some form of black in your clothing as well as having hair covering one eye, not all emo's do that but the majority of emo's do.... there are many other things how you know that you are emo and they are just a small portion. But be-ware that if you believe that you are emo that you stay away from being a 'poser.'
