All Macs shipped today come pre installed with Mac OS X 10.5.6 Leopard, and iLife 2009. In addition you have the option to order some other software (Such as iWork) pre installed for an extra cost.

The software that comes with a new MacBook includes (See links below) iPhoto, iMovie, Garage Band, Photo Booth, iDVD, iWeb, iTunes, iChat, Mail, Safari, Address Book, Text Edit, iCal, Calculator, Chess, DVD Player, Image Capture, Time Machine. Plus numerous other applications and utilities. The installation disc also includes the XCode developers software for installation if required.

Mac OS X comes with lots of useful software, with more being added in every update.

Applications:

Automator - create automations for multitasking

Calculator - graphing calculator to cheat on homework

Calendar - syncs with Google Calendar and iCloud

Chess - play with people around the world

Contacts - syncs with Google and iCloud

Dashboard - useful widgets including weather and stocks

Dictionary - a dictionary that looks up words

DVD Player - a DVD player that plays DVD's

Font Book - manage fonts

Game Center - leaderboards and acheivements to prove why your friends are better than you

Image Capture - move photos from camera (as if you couldn't do that yourself)

iTunes - play music and videos (and unlike the Windows version, it's easy to use and fast)

Launchpad - view all of your apps in an iOS-like fashion (Apple is totally going to sue Apple over this)

Mac App Store - buy new apps (hopefully you will have the money after paying a couple thousand bucks for a computer)

Mail - view your email (ooh, fancy!)

Messages - chat with other iOS devices and Macs for free

Mission Control - view your desktops and apps in an organized fashion

Notes - take notes that sync with your iOS devices

I do not believe so, I have an 11" Macbook Air and tried to make Applications, iPhone Apps, and Games. None of them worked for me, probably cause I have 10.8.2 instead of 10.7.5
