All Macs shipped today come pre installed with Mac OS X 10.5.6 Leopard, and iLife 2009. In addition you have the option to order some other software (Such as iWork) pre installed for an extra cost.
The software that comes with a new MacBook includes (See links below) iPhoto, iMovie, Garage Band, Photo Booth, iDVD, iWeb, iTunes, iChat, Mail, Safari, Address Book, Text Edit, iCal, Calculator, Chess, DVD Player, Image Capture, Time Machine. Plus numerous other applications and utilities. The installation disc also includes the XCode developers software for installation if required.

i have a macbook air 11 inch. and i have minecraft and it did not come with a starter folder. i pressed f2 a lot and no screenshot folder came into my applications. i dont have library or applications support. same with my mom's old macbook. all i have is the game title and thats it.
iMovie should come with your macbook. If it is not there than you can buy it from the app store.
Its very simple to drop a software disc into a macbook applications, first you need to have the software on your mac than you just need to drag it in one of your folder than it will be in one of your mac folders.
The default web browser on a Mac is Safari. The shortcut is located on the Dock. If for some reason it is not there you can find it in Applications.
Garageband should be in the Applications folder of every MacBook.

MacBook Pro does not come with eSATA support. If you have MacBook Pro with ExpressCard support, you can get adapter which would allow you to use eSATA. Note: Latest MacBook Pro laptops do not come even with ExpressCard support. Firewire is the fastest available option right now (2010).
I do not believe so, I have an 11" Macbook Air and tried to make Applications, iPhone Apps, and Games. None of them worked for me, probably cause I have 10.8.2 instead of 10.7.5
