America became involved in WW1 because the central powers were killing our ships that were trading with britiain. We didnt want them killing our citizens anymore.
Also.. there was a Zimmerman telegram sent from Germans to Mexico. this stated that the Germans wanted Mexico to ally if America came to war. America didnt like this either because they were fighting the Mexicans.
Also.. there was a lot of Propaganda from the british..saying that the Germans were being horrible to the British. so the Americans wanted to help the british get out of the Germans grip
