Three reasons why the state should ratify the constitution is:
1) A stronger government will be formed .
2) The three powers protected the rights of the people already .
States ratified the constitution because they wanted a clearer selection of reasonable and basic amendments that would be placed in the bill of rights.
The motivation was two simple imperatives. To provide for the common defense. To ensure free-trade amongst the states.

1. power is spread evenly between the states and national government.
2. the Articles of Confederation is weak and each state was like its own country
A central government was needed and unless one was created the revolution would have been for nothing.
