There are a few possibilities: 1 - Perhaps someone worked on the ignition wires and the back 4 have been re-connected wrong. 2 - If it's carburated and the back half of the carburater is plugged or damaged, it might not be gettinf fuel. If it's injected, check for 2 injectors and see if one isn't functioning. 3 - It's possible that the back half has lost compression from head warping after the engine overheated. If the other two possibilities don't show promise, run a compression test on the engine and make sure the compression level for the back half is ok. sounds like your distributor is messed up as for checking 2 injectors, each cylander has 1 injector so you would have to check strange as it may seem,,, I was sold an Excell Chrome high performance coil to use with this set up at a local auto supply store. I placed my hand on the coil and found it to be unusually warm, so I put old coil back on and tried it. No other changes were made nor alterations. This fixed the problem. The motor immediately began to function full force again. ( wierd huh )
