You have to press the unlock button 2 or 3 times to get both doors to unlock no programming needed
If you press the unlock button two times it should unlock all the doors.
It is very possible i have seen it done dozens of times.
If the Avalanche is anything like a 2003 Chevy Silverado, you can program the door locks as follows: 1. With vehicle off, Pull back the High Beam headlight lever (High Beams are on) 2. Turn ignition key on and off twice (ON, OFF, ON, OFF) , then release the headlight lever. Your vehicle should respond my locking or unlocking the doors. 3. You can now PROGRAM your locks by pressing a three button code, using the unlock/lock buttons on your driver door. Your manual should have details of the buttons you should press. For example, Press Lock, Unlock, Unlock, - and your code will tell your when to unlock, or to unlock at all. Here are some of the possible Combinations (A and B) A - Do not Lock Doors Lock All doors When Vehicle Is Started Lock All doors When Vehicle is placed in DRIVE Lock All doors when Vehicle reaches speed of 5mph. + B Do not unlock doors Unlock Drivers side door only - when placed in park Unlock all doors - when placed in park Unlock Drivers side door only - when key is removed from ignition Unlock All doors- when key is removed from ignition. These are a few examples, that can be programmed by pressing the unlock/lock buttons (three times).. If you don't have your manual, then you can try random combinations. Once you enter your 3 button combination, the vehicle exits programming mode. You can now start the vehicle and test the locks. Or: Repeat the process.
# Sit in car, doors closed. Electronically unlock all doors using the power door unlock switch on the driver's door. # Insert key into ignition switch and turn from OFF to ON 8 times within 10 seconds with the 8th time ending in the ON position. (5 times on some models) # The doors should lock and unlock by themselves to signal programming mode. # Using your remote: lock the doors.
Hit the unlock button two times quickly. This will unlock the driver's door and then the passenger door. Sometimes I need to hit the button three times.
To unlock the rear door ???just push the unlock button on the drivers side door on the in side and it will unlock all doors and the rear door also. then Just pill on the outside rear door handle and it will open., push the button 2 times to unlock all doors.
I have an 04 Durango Limited...and my key fob does in fact unlock the rear lift gate. You either have to hit the unlock button 2 or 3 times to get it to unlock the rear lift gate...but it should do it.....mine does. I think pressing unlock once unlocks the 2 front doors....twice unlocks the rear doors...and a third time unlocks the lift gate.
Possible the system is deactivated. 1. Sit in the driver seat, turn the key on. 2. Hit the unlock doors button 3 time (within 5 sec of each other). 3. Turn the key off and hit the unlock 3 times again. You should get a chirp from the horn. If this does not solve your problem, you can try the same proceedure but hit the Lock button Vs the unlock button
For Security so as nobody can jump in uninvited while you are getting yourself comfortable. Try pushing the button 2 or 3 times to unlock all doors.
With the doors unlocked, turn the ignition key on the 96 Bronco from of to run and back to off five times in ten seconds, ending in run position. Yes! The three blinks indicate the system is armed and all doors are locked. If the lights do not flash, then a door is open. The single light flash upon unlocking tells you the system is disarmed.
if your doors are locked and someone broke in the starter will be shut off. if you have this problem usually you lock and unlock then unlock 4 times with the key in drivers door and that will reset it or some cars turn ignition on and off 3 times and that will reset it also.
turn key from off to run position 8 times quickly (doors will lock/unlock to signal that you're ready to program). Push the unlock button or lock button on the FOB. You should be good to go after that.
Ghiberti Worked on the doors in the late times!!
1. get in the car 2. shut the door 3. place the key in the ignition 4. lock the doors, manually 5. turn the ignition to on then off...do this seven times 6. unlock the doors and try your remote
The trunk/boot unlock is always a separate button on the key fab. Unlock usually only unlocks the driver's door when pressed once and all doors when pressed 2 times. But if you are following the correct procedure to open the trunk/boot via your vehicle's remote, a failure of the trunk/boot opening mechanism is also a possibility. They typically have a plastic tab which can break off, disabling the trunk/boot from opening. This would have to be replaced if that were the case. A failure in the electrical circuit is another possibility.
1 -- have ALL fobs on hand, including those which might already be programmed correctly. The programming will "erase" your old ones. 2 -- Unlock the doors. Put the key in the ignition, and turn from "Off" to "ACC" 5 times in under 10 seconds. The doors will lock. Leave key in the ACC position 3 -- Program the fobs by pressing any key on the fob. Do this for each fob. The doors locks will lock/unlock 4 -- Turn the key to Off. Locks will lock/unlock, and you are out of programming mode. 5 -- Test all remotes.
Look in the manual in your glovebox. I reset mine by accident when my fuel pump was dying. If you turn the key on 4. times without starting the truck, the computer goes into program mode. Anyway: from page 10 of the owners manual... Automatic door locks If this feature is selected your door locks will lock automatically if the speed is above 15 mph. This option is shipped activated and can be turned on and off by using the following procedure: 1. Close all of the doors. 2. Place the key in the ignition and cycle the key from the OFF position to the ON position for a total of four times ending in the ON position, do not start the engine. 3. Press the drivers side power door lock switch to lock the doors within 30 seconds. 4. You will hear a single chime when the programming is completed. 5. To activate the feature again, repeat the above steps. ...And from pages 12-13: To unlock the doors and liftgate: Press and release the UNLOCK button on the key fob once to unlock the driver's door, or twice to unlock all doors and liftgate. The illuminated entry system will also come on. The system may be programmed to unlock all the doors, on the first press, using the following procedure: 1. Close all the doors. 2. Place the key in the ignition and turn the key between the OFF and ON position consecutively for a total of four times ending in the ON position (do not start the engine). 3. Press the driver's side power door lock switch to unlock the doors and within 30 seconds to lock the doors. 4. You will hear a single chime when programming is completed.

Child locks prevent children from opening the back doors of many vehicles. There is usually a lever or other mechanism for changing the status on the side of the edge of the door near the striker bolt. Open the door from the outside and look for the lever. Sometimes they aren't very obvious, other times they're well marked.
