If you only have two speakers in your 106, there will be four wires on the plug for those, if you have 4 then there will be eight! The speaker wires are on the outside of the plug. On one side the right speaker wires are found, on the other the left. That will leave you with five in the middle. To find out what all of these do you will need a multimeter. Set it to the V (voltage setting) and connect the black lead to some exposed metal (when I did this I used the bolts holding the door on). Now, with the ignition off test all of the leads for power. One of them will give a reading of around 12v, the others nothing. This is the permanent or memory supply. Now turn on your ignition. At least one more wire will now also read 12v, this is the lead that actually provides the power for the stereo. Now turn on your headlights, a wire that had previously read 0v should now also read 12v. This is the illumination wire, and it makes the radio light up when your lights are on. Only one wire should have no reading on it by now. This is the negative (earth) Hope that helped!
