The Roman Empire reached its greatest extent in 166 AD under the emperor Trajan. In Europe it covered Western Europe up to part of central Germany and the Balkan Peninsula (southwestern Europe) stretching from the Atlantic to the Black Sea. In western Asia it covered the Middle East west of Iran and north of Saudi Arabia (though it included a small slice of Saudi Arabia, see below). North Africa was also part of the empire. The whole of the Mediterranean was part of the empire The Roman Empire covered the following modern day countries or parts of modern countries:
Western Europe: Italy, Malta, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland south of the river Rhine, southern Germany and part of central Germany, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria and England and Wales.
Eastern Europe: western Hungary, part of western Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova and a slither of western Ukraine.
Asia: Turkey, Cyprus, Armenia, northern Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine, Jordan, and the northern part of the coast of the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia. Sometimes the empire also included the whole of Iraq.
Africa: Egypt, the coastal part of Libya, Tunisia, the coastal part of Algeria, and northern Morocco.
The Colosseum is in the centre of Rome. (The Romans built sevaral amphitheatres (colosseums) all around the Empire. e. g. in today's Pula (Croatia) an almost intact building can be seen.)

Asia got its name from the Romans. Asia was called after the ancient Roman province. The word Asia originated from the Greek word Ἀσία, first attributed to Herodotus (about 440 BC) in reference to Anatolia
Ancient Romans. No
Romans come from Rome, which is located in the country of Italy on the European continent.
The continent of Africa was named by the ancient Romans. It referred to what is now the country of Tunisia and its meaning was "land of the Afri."
By being unknown to them and staying on a completely separate continent.
The Romans didn't have a name for the continent of Africa, as we do, but one of the provinces of the empire was named Africa. The other provinces in the northern part of what we call Africa were, Egypt (Aegyptus) Cyrenaica, Numidia and Mauritania.
Carthage was located on the Gulf of Tunis, Tunisia, Africa. It was destroyed by the Romans but the ruins are still there.
The Romans and Greeks could not have possibly created the US as they lived centuries before the American continent was even discovered. They did not even know that America existed. FYI America was founded by disgruntled Englishmen.
North America is the native continent of poinsettias (Euphorbia pulcherrima).Specifically, the plant's native range is southwestern Mexico. Mexico is a Latin American country in the sense that its culture, languages and peoples ultimately descend - in part - from the ancient European civilization of the Latin-speaking Romans. Nevertheless, it is located on the North American continent.
The influence and control of the Roman Empire did not extend past the northernmost parts of Africa. As the abundance of wildlife currently found on the continent of Africa demonstrates, the Romans didn't even put a dent in the number of animals in Africa, much less "kill all the animals in Africa".
There is no continent on the continent of Europe. Europe is a continent.

The Romans stopped using the watling Street because they left Britain. Roman legions were removed from Britain several times. The first time there was a redeployment to Gaul to fight the Germanic invasion. The other times they were taken to the continent by usurper emperors. Besides the sharp decline in the number of troops there were also attacks and settlement by the Angles, Saxons, Jutes and Frisians. In the end the Romans left Britain altogether.
