What is the average size of a assault rifle bullet?

There is no one answer- it depends on the rifle. They are generally less powerful than a full size battle rifle cartridge. The M16 rifle uses a 5.56mm bullet, the AK47 a 7.62mm bullet, etc.

Is an Assault Rifle a machine gun?

They both are capable of automatic fire but a machine gun is a "crew-served" weapon while an assault rifle can be used by a single soldier. It generally uses a cartridge smaller than a machine gun and a rifle but larger than a sub-machine gun cartridge, which is a pistol cartridge. In Nazi Germany, they wanted a weapon that was fully automatic, but at the same time, as accurate as the rifle. So they came up with the MP-44 or sturmgewehr 44. The first EVER assault rifle. that's a fact. The AK-47 is probably the most widely known example of a modern assault rifle.

Which is better ump or ak47?

What bullets does a Japanese assault rifle use?

Japan fielded it's first assault rifle in 1989. This rifle is the Howa Type 89, which is still the current issue rifle of Japanese Self Defense Force. Type 89 uses NATO standard 5.56x45 ammunition. While it has a magazine interface which is compatible with M16/STANAG 4179 type magazines, it requires a different type of follower in order for the bolt catch to hold the bolt open after the last round is fired.

Is the g36c best gun in the world?

Yes the g36c is the best gun because of its great fire rate and of its low recoil. It has good aiming and can shoot far distances. Its magazine bar is easy to reload and can sufficiently be reloaded. Personally I think it is the best gun in the world maybe with competition from the m4 carbine, the AK-47, the p90 and many other guns. Not everyone will agree on this usually the g36c would be better in most situations. Thanks for listening ^^^ Don't listen to this guy, he has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. First off, the G36C has a 9 inch barrel, giving the velocity-dependent 5.56 an effective range of about 50m if you're lucky. Anything past that and you're firing a glorified .22. There's a reason nobody uses the G36C as an infantry weapon. If you want a G36 meant to be used as an assault rifle for the average combat range (300m), go with the regular G36. I also fail to see how a high rate of fire is a good thing. Rifleman ALWAYS fire in semi auto. There's absolutely no reason to fire full auto, as that is the gunner's job. The Ak47 is an outdated gun, it fires an inferior round. The AK74 is completely superior in every aspect. The P90 is a PDW used for close range. Sure as hell not suited for a rifle's job. The M4 is in most cases, inferior to the M16 seeing as how the M16 is more reliable due to having a longer gas tube and a longer barrel. (Which is important since it shoots the as previously stated, velocity dependent 5.56.)

Is a mini 14.223 a assault rifle?

Depends on which definition of assault rifle you go by - the so-called "civilian assault rifles" defined by BATFE and state law, or the true definition of an assault rifle. An assault rifle, by it's true definition, is a selective fire weapon, which uses an intermediate cartridge, and is typically intended for engagements of 300 metres or less. The Mini 14 meets the intermediate cartridge, moderate range criteria, but lacks the selective fire capabilities. However, there is a select fire version - the AC-556 - which does fit the criteria of a true assault weapon. As for so-called "civilian assault weapons", the BATFE defines them as being a detachable magazine firearm with two or more of the following features:Bayonet lugFlash suppressor (or threaded barrel to which one could be attached)Collapsible buttstockBarrel shroudGrenade launcherCalifornia, however, has had such a law on the books since before the 94 Clinton ban, and their criteria is that a rifle be absolutely featureless. The California ban also includes vertical fore grips. So, a Mini 14 with two features - such as a flash suppressor and bayonet lug - would meet the definition as applied by the BATFE. A Mini 14 with just one of those features wouldn't be considered an assault rifle under BATFE law, but would be under California state law.
