Check your local library for a repair manual.
Replace seals
Check your fork oil, if it's low or leaking it's probably your seals. If the oil and seals check fine, then the fork shock springs are shot.
it could be from your valve gaskets leaking oil. my car was smelling like that and my gasket seals were leaking, both front and back. after having them replaced i dont smell it anymore. KNOCK ON WOOD
If the oil is leaking from the front seal you will need to remove the oil pan and replace both the front and rear seals and the rail gaskets.
Check radiator hose, leaking water pump, look for hole in radiator, leaking coolant bottle or leaking seals.
