What do you do if your 1989 Chrysler LeBaron runs great in drive but will not go into reverse?

i had spirit that had the same problem i had the tranny rediult and it hasn't had a problem since.

How do you repair the digital display cluster that no longer works after you pulled the fuse because the vent on the driver's side started smoking in a 1990 Chrysler Lebaron?
If you should be so lucky as to be an electrical engineer, you could reverse engineer the digital cluster. Or you might search endless web sites hunting a diagram if you truly think you could fix it yourself. You might try finding a replacement from a salvage yard, with no warranty, and you pay the shipping. Or you could do what I did when the display went out in my LeBaron(red convertible), contact http://www.mrwhizard.com/. They repair digital clusters. They do a great job and have a warranty program.

Why would a 1997 Cadillac Catera stall when put into drive and not stall when put in reverse?
i have a 97 Catera and it stalls in either drive or reverse. idles fine for 30 minutes but shuts off almost instantly. replaced CPS and tightened all grounds. No change. but sometimes it will drive beautifully... an answer would be great. next step for me is to fix the valve cover leaks and check all connections and hoses. any help?

It seems that you have a cracked sunshell inside the transmission. Unless you are able to rebuild it yourself, you will need to have a transmission shop repair it for you. They will have to tear it down and see if there is other damage. You should be able to drive it to a repair facility as long as you don't have to drive a great distance.
