On Nicki Minaj's go Hard, Lil Wayne raps, "And I shoot like I'm from over-seas, so call my gun, 'Gunovich'"

Gunovich could be being used as a portmoneau to reference the instability in the Balkans during the mid 90's. Gun would represent for Lil Wayne's weapon and/or violence in general and "-ovich" is the phoenetic Enligsh spelling of a tradition Slavic surname "ovic," e.g. Slobodan Milosevic.

A further stretch, but interesting nonetheless, is that the artist is alluding to the Soviet aircraft designer Mikhail Gurevich, famous for founding the design bureau that was responsible for the production of the then ground breaking MiG-21.
