We are pleased to welcome you to the site of the International Organization for Peace, Care and Relief. The Organization is for those who believe in the importance of civil voluntary humanitarian work, in order to lift the pain and suffering of those afflicted by natural disasters, wars, in addition to, conflicts and to help the needy, the destitute and displaced persons. Furthermore, it aims to establish a peaceful environment where people can live in prosperity, hold up to good values and solidarity, and to live as brothers in consolidation to what all divine religions called for

What is an NGO?

An NGO stands for (Non-Governmental Organization). It is a civil international organization, constituted of one or a group of non-profit institutions. It has an independent structure that is not related to the State. Its activities vary based on the objectives it is set for.

Because the term is considered too broad by some and it might be referred to anything that is non-governmental, therefore, many NGOs prefer to use the term PVO, which stands for Private Voluntary Organization

OBJECTIVES:

The International Organization for Peace Care and Relief, a world humanitarian Non- Government organization, it enjoys an independent legal and financial status. It is headquartered in Tripoli, Libya, with branches in several other countries. Its objectives are:

- To promote a just international peace that takes into account peoples social and cultural differences.

- To condemn all forms of aggression and military conflicts against peoples and to denounce their instigators.

- To combat all forms of collective deportations and forced migration, therefore to defend and to strengthen the rights of individuals that guarantee them a home country in which they can live in peacefully and securely.

- To oppose the production and use of all forms of weapons, in particular weapons of mass destruction, while requesting belligerent countries to disclose information about their planted mines.

- To provide a protection to refugees (groups and/or individuals) until a safe repatriation is made possible for them.

- To sensitize the world opinion about environment damages and their impact on human health and quality of future generation's life.

- To cooperate with all organizations and institutions that have similar objectives.

ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANS:

The Administration is organized as follows:

- The General Assembly.

- The Executive Bureau.

- Secretariats of Local and International Branches.

- Technical Divisions.

The General Assembly may decide to establish sections or branches if deemed necessary in achieving the objectives laid down in the constitutive chart of the Organization.

The General assembly is the highest authority of the Organization whose members are both individuals and artificial persons that includes:

- The founding members.

- The organizers.

- The observers as identified by the General Assembly.

One member one vote is the observed rule, with the exception that the observers are non-voting entity.

Ladies and Gentlemen

It has become customarily to remind us of the importance of Peace to human kind whether speaking about it in the context of the confinement of any given country or at world stage in general. No doubt, as commonly known, Peace is deeply rooted in the moral, philosophy and law of human psyche.

Law people, thinkers, and all religions alike have diligently promoted this concept and exerted themselves towards achieving it. Yet, despite of this extensive and tireless effort, human history readings clearly show an alarming and increasing trend of social unrests and threats to a human peaceful living.

Considering the accelerating rate of the threat to World Peace, in its broad meaning, that ranges from environment pollution, damages to the ozone layer in the atmosphere, weapons of mass destruction, increasing number of forced migration, refugees and poor marginalized women, children and elderly people, one cannot just be a bystander. Hence, the birth of the International Peace Care and Relief is announced with great pleasure.

It is an honor for me to preside over its destiny while strongly supported by people who are dedicated to help reduce the painful impact on the victims of armed conflicts, natural disaster regardless of gender, religion, language, race, color or social background.

The Organization's sole goal is humanitarian, and whose borders are the world as a whole while moral principles are its guideposts. We, at this Organization, work for the advancement of international laws and aim at strengthening the Human Rights concept.

In accordance with its governing rules and regulations, the Organization contributes in promoting "Peace Culture" worldwide. Consequently, it puts greater emphasis on peaceful means viz. negotiations and diplomacy as a way to resolve conflicts and tense relations rather than the use of force, which it unambiguously condemns. It also gives a greater place to the role of international organizations such as the United Nations and its various specialized agencies.

Noble, they are, these objectives will not overshadow the necessary research on historic, economic, social, and political root causes of these ill feelings among peoples, wars, "damned" desires to marginalize other human beings, and the inclination for the use of "the law of the jungle". Hence, resolving peacefully the various world-standing issues may greatly help to put an end to the threat of World Peace.

We are still calling for combating desertification, controlling, if not stopping and reversing, the environmental pollution on the one hand, and world solidarity to stop the spread of diseases, epidemics, and illicit drug trade on the other hand.

Ladies and Gentlemen

We are fully aware of the challenges that lie ahead are great. They consist inter alia hegemony and dominating tendencies, increasing spread of multinationals around the world, warmongers, and lack of moral principles that we obviously deplore and work steadfastly to restore and protect them. These challenges will not discourage us because we know that our love supply for human kind is inexhaustible while our stock of moral principles and devotion to Human Rights is unlimited.

We have consciously chosen this difficult path to join with other humanitarians wherever they may be around the world and call on you to join us … for the sake of a high and noble goal.
