You probably have a bad turbo.
yes burning oil smokes if the exhaust is clogged the motor will not run so if you suspect a lot of oil in the exhaust the engine needs serviced
in the oil pan. oil pan has to come off to change it. i dont know about the v6, but the 2.2 either have to pull the motor, or pull the starter, transmission, exhaust, and loosen mounts and jack motor up to change it!
The oil filter is located on the front of the motor under the exhaust manifold
well depending on the age of the motor it could be burning oil, and if that is the case when you use your gears to slow down, everytime you shift into a lower gear it revs the engine up which if it was burning oil would cause smoke to come out the exhaust.
burning oil
remove the drain plug between the exhaust under the motor
On front of the motor, beside the exhaust pipe.
incomplete combustion of the petrol in the cylinders which is then being released in the exhaust.
to rich of a gas mixture
white smoke coming out of the exhaust 99 times out of 100 is coolant leaking into your engine and being burned. if this is the case, a head gasket is blown or something in your motor or head is cracked. oil burns a bluish color with a distinct smell.
Its on the drivers side of the motor behind the exhaust manifold. Take the manifold cover off and you will be able to see it between the 3rd and 4th exhaust pipes on the side of the motor.
