It means the computer has detected a problem with the emissions system. The oil change had nothing to do with it. A loose gas cap can however cause this. Tighten the gas cap 3 clicks. You will need to have the computer scanned with an OBD2 scan tool, to retrieve the code. This code will tell you what part is being effected. Not what part is bad, but which one is being effected.

If feels like your car isn't getting gas to the engine, perhaps the fuel injectors are clogged. You may also need to change the fuel filter.
How to change brake lines on a 1991 Buick Lesabre?
Exactly the same except the Lucerne has the improved metal manifold pipe. I think the 04 and 05 LeSabre also replaced the plastic pipe with metal.
your engine has a timing chain,no rubber belt but after 250k plus the chain wears and should be checked
Instructions for replacing radiator on 2000 Buick Lesabre custom
Get a manual on your car from the parts store or from AUTOBOOKSONLINE.COM. This is not a job for the backyard mechanic as you have to hold the engine while the trans is pulled.
The engine main and/or rod bearings are worn. Change to a heavier grade oil (higher viscosity number) and the light should stop flickering so much. If you do that you can make the engine last a little longer, but the engine is definitely getting tired.
Well if it looks anything like my Skylark, then that motor mount has to come out. Make sure you support the engine with a jack and block of wood when you pull it. I just changed mine on my LeSabre yesterday and that is exactly how I did it. I also removed the right passenger tire for easier access to the motor mount.
As long as there is oil in the engine it can run. If it has not had an oil change for a year even if it was stored I would change the oil/filter before driving this car.
