The deeper you dive, the more gasses you absorb.Raised levels of N2 can lead to Nitrogen Narcosis, which in itself is thought to be harmless, it can cause divers to do things that lead to accidents, some fatal. Also, the more N2 in your body, the higher the chances of getting DCS as you surface, which is why you need to offgas as you surface, surface slowly and offgas in between dives.Raised levels of O2 can lead to oxygen toxcity, which can lead to death.Best stay safe and stay within limits of tables or your dive computer and only dive to the depths you are trained ad insured to dive to.
Why does fire come out the top of oil pipelines?
The refinery is burning "offgas" or lighter components such as methane, ethane, propane, and butane that are trapped in the crude oil as it enters the refinery. Many refineries today use these components as fuel for heaters and other processes and/or sell these gaseous products in the form of LPG. This requires a large centrifugal compressor which is a very high capitol cost, which is why some refineries still burn the gas in flares.
How do you determine end point of a reaction?
You can determine the End Point of a Fermentation in many different ways. Often the limiting nutrient stops any further growth. Monitoring the nutrients via offline sampling can be done, but is time consuming and with delay. Most efficient way is to look at the offgas of the fermentation with a process Mass Spectrometer i.e. Prima dB from Thermo Scientific, where the End Point will be clearly indicated. The parameters OUR (Oxygen Uptake Rate) and CER (Carbondioxide Evolution Rate) will show a good trend, and indicate when to transfer to next scaleUp or stop. The ratio of OUR and CER gives you RQ, the respiratory Quotient, which tells you which Carbon-source the cells are using as feed. At i.e. glucose RQ = 1, and when feeding on stearic acid RQ goes towards 0,7 - indicating that it is time to add more glucose. As extra benefits, the Prima dB will measure all other components in the offgas, like MeOH, EtOH, CH4, H2S, other secondary metabolites and many more.

NO. NH4OH is formed when Ammonia Gas (NH3) combines with water in solution : NH3(g) + H2O(l) <=> NH4OH(aq) There is no solid form in the normal environment. When the solution reaches saturation, NH3 will begin to offgas until equillibrium is reached. This is true for the "normal" world of chemistry. I have no idea whether exotic environments could be created where NH4OH would crystalize, but it will not in your home lab. experiment: pour a shot of unscented household ammonia (NH4OH) into a cup and leave it out until the liquid has evaporated.
