well Germany preety much declared war on Britain in 1914. This was because of different misunderstandings. Geramny was a very big and powerful nation back then, as it still is today. The Germans wanted to take as much land as possible as fast as they could. They had many discussions with France, and at one point they wanted to take over Paris by going through Belgium. Howver their plan didnt work. The effect Germans had on the rest of Europe was huge, because they are the ones that inniatily declared war. However, because of the alliances, Germany didnt have a negative affect on its own alliance. here are te alliances :

In the early 1900's Serbia was a small nation that wanted to take over Austria's Bosnia. There were a lot of Serbians living there and they agreed that Bosnia should be united with Serbia. However, Austria - Hungary did not want to let Bosnia go, forming lots of conflict. In 1914, in Europe, there was a lot of controversy as well, between France and Germany so each country needed as many alliances as possible on their side. France, Russia and Britain formed the Triple Entente (Allies) and Germany joined with Italy and Austria-Hungary forming the Triple Entente (main powers). In the same year, a group of Serbian men known as the "Black Hand" assassinated Austria's powerful leader, Archduke Ferdinand, in Sarajevo and that lighted a huge spark between Serbia and Austria-Hungary. Knowing there will be a war, Serbia joined the Triple Entente and the other countries pledged to support Serbia in times of war. Then the war broke out in the same year, 1914. Right after, Italy joined the Triple Entente as well, because of some misunderstandings between their alliances. The Triple Entente became very dangerous because they had more countries however the Triple Alliances had lots of tricks up their sleeves.

hope tat helps out a bit tell me if u still don't understand :]

What countries besides European countries were involved in the Holocaust?

It depends on what you mean by involved. Some Jews from Vichy controlled French North Africa were handed over to the Nazis, but apart from that active involvement did not extend beyond Europe. However, it you include countries that refused to accept refugees, then one can make out a case to the effect that most countries were in some sense involved by default.

What were the effects D-Day?

I know of one effect and that is that now the allies now have another way to get to the German forces.* The allies pushed through France towards the German border, proving that the German war machine was not invincible. The war started coming to its end in the European theater. Many soldiers lost there lives on D-day and during the months after. The German forces were defeated when Germany become surrounded by the Allies with the Russians to the south, and the British, Americans, and the Canadians to the south. D-day was the start of the end of the war in Europe.

What effect did the d-day have upon Germany?

It had a very demoralizing effect on the German public. It put many of Germany's western divisions to flight.
