Using the wrong Power Steering fluid on a mini can cause all kinds of problems. The car might steer differently, or the fluid could leak or damage the steering rack and pump.
Alot of transmission fluids are the same as power steering fluid so I wouldnt worry
This is two of the things I know that could be wrong. The power steering pump is either bad or there is no power steering fluid in the pump causing it to have steering problems. Be sure to check the fluid level in the power steering pump.

My Ford Explorer takes automatic transmission fluid for the power steering fluid so I guess it would depend on what type of vehicle you have and what type of power steering fluid is supposed to be used
It will most likely cause problems with the seals that hold the fluid inside then you will spring a leak, this could be a costly mistake.
You will screw your steering system. You need to flush steering system ASAP. And of course do not drive with engine oil in steering.
You need to replace the power steering pump. If it is leaking, it is going out.
Overfilling a power steering system with fluid can cause overpressure. You may cause a leak in your lines or pump.
