Honda's vtech was originally designed for their engines to keep their great fuel economy, while giving extra power at higher rpm's. when the vtech is activated, oil pressure within the head increases to add a larger stroke to lobes on the cams, therefore letting more air in and out of the engine.
will a h23a vtech work in a 92 prelude? what extra will be needed or changed besides a chipped p28 ecu ..? I have a 92' Honda prelude s.i. with a h23a1 non vtech and im going to swap, but i need answers before i buy this engine..
no
Yes.
Yes Honda made a Prelude in 1995 with a DOHC VTEC engine. VTECH makes cordless phones and toys.
it's vtec not vtech... vtech is a cordless phone company... i have a 95 gsr and i use mobil 1 full synth...
depends on if the v-tech engine was made for 93 to 96 modles or for 96 to 98 modles
The spark plug gap for a 1997 Honda Accord with a 2.2L VTech engine is .044 inches. All 1997 Honda engines have a gap of .044 inches.
