NC work permit(teens)im not sure really how old you have to be but i know you can get one from your counselor at school...usually.
  • You can start working at 14, though it's hard to find a job. That's when the child labor laws are removed!! There's these crazy rules and regulations that say you can only work where machines aren't present or something.

Also, it depends on what area of work. 14 to 15 year old teens can work most behind the desk jobs and agricultural jobs, but couldn't, say, drive a car for Domino's or use a power saw. There are also restrictions that don't allow 14 and 15 year olds to work in manufacturing plants and mines.
