i assume you mean "heater core". this is a really small radiator usually located behind the dashboard of your car. a fan blows across it when you turn the heat on. this radiator can leak eventually, just like the regular radiator is prone to doing with age.
the difference is that to fix the heater core you have to tear the dash out of your car. i would just take it to a mechanic to fix, or buy the bypass kit at any auto parts store and cap it off (you won't have heat if you bypass it)
hope this helps!
You probably have a leak in the heater core.
Heater core could be clogged.
Coolant leak, possible heater core. Suggest to have it pressure tested to find leak.
Either you can have a leak from the internal venting system that is causing this or you have a leaking heater core instead.............
The most common signs of a bad heater core are; no heat or fluid leaking into the passenger compartment. The heater core can have a leak or it can be plugged.
heat core. leak. thermostat. no antifreeze.
Leaking heater core, debris in the HVAC box, oil leak under hood, etcLeaking heater core, debris in the HVAC box, oil leak under hood, etc
Certainly, a planetary core can be cold. The heat of our own planetary core is the result of radioactive decay of various elements in the core and mantle, but eventually that heat source will be used up, and the residual heat will gradually leak away into space. There could be other planets which never had much or any abundance radioactive content in the first place.
This will happen if you have a slight leak or leak in your heater core. Have your heater core checked for leaks.
Sorry bad news Your heater core has a leak
That is probably antifreeze steam. Your heater core is a small radiator used to heat your car. The engine heats the antifreeze and circulates it through the heater core. Your blower blows heat through the core (radiator) into the car, and warms you. If the core gets a small leak, it will put out steam.
The heater in a car is a little radiator under the dashboard. It's called the heater core. There's a valve in the water system that sends hot coolant into the heater core when you turn on the heat, and keeps the coolant in the engine when you don't want heat. If the car is leaking antifreeze when the heat is on but not when it's off, something in the heater system has a hole in it. Because there's always coolant in the heater core and the hoses that feed it, my first thought is the valve itself is bad.
