No. The cylinder head on the Type R and GSR are different. The bolt and coolant holes will not match up. However, the Type R's intake manifold will fit a 99-00 Civic SI because their cylinder heads are similar.
its at the right rear corner of the intake manifold
B16 head with a b18c1 bottom block, and b16 or type R tranny. Also with Integra type R piston, camshaft, cams and intake manifold.
1======2 | _______| | _______| Distance (D) of 0.56m | _______| 3======4 Fg = (Gm1m2)/r2 F2 on 1 = GM2/D2 F3 on 1 = same as 2 on 1 F4 on 1 = GM2/R2 where R = Sqrt(D2 + D2) = D x root(2) Total Force = 2GM2/D2 + GM2/2D2 = (2.5)GM2/D2
i think u r talking about the MAF sensor or mass air flow sensor which is like half way between the air filter and the intake manifold on the air tube
upper or lower? either way, remove all wiring, 8 10mm bolts that hold upper intake, both fuel lines in right rear(inlet, outlet) remove upper intake. 8 13mm bolts hold lower intake. dont need to remove lower intake if u r replacing injector assemble which is probably what u r doing as this is a very common problem with the vortex engine. be sure to replace as assembly and not just regulator if the vehicle has 100k plus
It would be best if you got the Chilton's manual for your car. This is a fairly complicated task on the 3.1. Not at all impossible, but you have to mess with a lot of things. You'll need to take off the throttle body. Remove the alternator and power steering pump, unbolt the upper plenum. Remove the fuel lines, fuel rail and injectors. Remove valve covers and loosen rocker arms. The push rods go through the gasket and will need to be removed to R & R the lower intake gasket. Keep the push rods in order as they are different lengths for intake and exhaust. Remove lower intake manifold bolts. Reverse the procedure to install.
take fuel rail off unplug injectors from wiring harness pull out injectors make sure you get all the rubber o rings out of the intake manifold and fuel rail reverse for install
I was just quoted 5.5 hours labor to R&R the intake gasket on my 1998 GMC Sierra 5.7 Liter.
are you sure it's from the egr valve? The EGR itself doesn't need coolant in any way shape or form. Most likely you're leaking coolant from the throttle body. Or it may be from the rear of the intake manifold. are you sure it's from the egr valve? The EGR itself doesn't need coolant in any way shape or form. I just replaced the starter on my 1998 200sx SE-R. You have to remove the intake manifold, and you will see it right under/behind there. You may as well replace the knock sensor while you are in there. About a 2 hour job altogether.
If you know where the air control valve its right nexts too it ,theres a connector next to it on the right of it ,its kind of hidden.mines a red connector. If you don't know where the air vl control valve is its on the left side of the engine under the intake manifold
