SAE 30 or 10w30 full synthetic is the very best for this air cooled engine. If you only use it is warm weather then use SAE 30. Any major brand of synthetic is fine. Change the oil/filter once a year if you use it no more than 50 hours.

My first thought is a dead battery. You should charge it and see if that helps. If not get your battery checked as it may no longer be able to hold a charge. If that is the case just buy a new one.
