Both are heavily built, stocky cats. The tiger is much larger, and has a striped coat, while the jaguar has spots or in some cases, a black coat. Both love the water, and are the only big cats that readily take to it.

a cheetah has spotts and a stripy tail but the jaguar has spotts and stripes with a dotted tail
First of all, I believe that you mean "cheetah," not "cheater." And the difference is that a jaguar lives in the understory of the amazon rainforest and the cheetah is much faster, has smaller spots, and lives in Africa's grasslands.

A jaguar has spots that kind of look like flowers. They live in jungles.

Cheetahs have spots that are like dots and have black tear lines from their eyes down to their nose. They live in the Savannah.
the difference between a cheetah and a jaguar is that, jaguars has big spots on it and the cheetahs, have small spots on it so that's the difference of a cheetah and a jaguar.

there are lots of differences between the two creatures

some are: a cheetah has spots, is faster, a lot more samller

and eats smaller prey than the jaguar. the cheetah is also the only cat

that sounds like a bird!

the jaguar however usually only has one color

and no marks, but it differs between them, not as fast,

and eats a bigger variety than the cheetah

Jaguars are larger and look like giant leopards, with black rings and spots in orange fur; cougars are smaller and have no spots, they look like a very big house cat, or a very small lioness and have a much longer tail.
