That depends on how many drives or virtual drives you have on your computer. Mainly the C: drive has Windows on it, if you only have a C: drive all your information and programs go here, but if you have multiple drives C: drive should be mainly for your Windows operating system.

This depends, generally the C drive is where Windows (the operating system), your programs, and your own personal files (such as the files on your desktop and in "My Documents") are kept. However note that all three of these things can be installed on any drive letter, C is the most commonly used however.

C drive usually refers to the main hard-disk of a computer. It's the place in the computer that stores all your programs, files, pictures, music etc. Its a 'throwback' to when computers had floppy disk drives - which were labelled 'A' and 'B' - in those days it was common to label the hard drive as 'C'. A practice that stuck !

The "C" Drive is a non-removable drive that stores multiple computer programs and/or documents on the hard drive of the CPU.

In the old days, computers had floppy drives. Why does my OS C drive have more memory than your Data D drive?

your drive C:// usually is your hard disk, but d:// is your disk drive (usually). in some cases computers may have more disks (c, d and e drives), in which case the OS disk is probably bigger because your operating system takes up a lot of the space.
