if its 4jx1 engine then you will need 5w40
replace the ecm
alot of the time it is a wiring problem between the engine control module and the transmisssion plug. you can test this wire for continuity The yel/bk wire on pin 44 on the blue plug on the ecm module. Unplug the transmission plug off the side of the transmission and check from ecm module located in the airbox to the plug for continuity. i don't have the pin layout for the plug on the transmission, but by process of elimination you can figure it out. below is a wiring diagram showing the 2-3 shift solenoid. alot of the time it is a wiring problem between the engine control module and the transmisssion plug. you can test this wire for continuity The yel/bk wire on pin 44 on the blue plug on the ecm module. where is the ECM located on my 2000 Jimmy? where is the ECM located on my 2000 Jimmy?
ecm stands for electronic control module
you can't fix an ecm, you have to replace it.
There are no ECM hoses. The ECM is the Electronic Control Module.
