What is the best way to fix up a 350 sbc what is the best cam for this motor AND can you just change the cam without changing lifters and gears?

There is alot more to the question than you are asking.What Year is this Chevy 350? Is it fuel injected or not?If it is F/I there are several areas and choices to improving performance.You have the choice of computer chips, Throttle body spacers, Larger injectors, many many options.Order you an aftermarket parts magizine such as Summit, Jeggs,or J.C.Whitney.

Slowly and if you are good you can change gears without using the clutch. Takes a little practice and a good ear or feel for when the engie is running at the speed to change without the clutch.
