The Owner Guide shows that 5 w 30 is the preferred oil ( that's what I've used in my 1995 Ford Explorer for almost 15 years )

yes, 10-40 just a higher grade motor oil then 5-30 or 5-40 i run 15-40 in my Ford Explorer

The main difference will be different Heads, different upper and lower intake manifolds. The explorer has 40 more lbs. of TQ, but the same HP rating. They are not bolt for bolt the same motor.
This might be due to a clogged fuel filter. They are inexpensive & should be fairly easy to replace.
i suggest try spraying wd-40 where the glass slides. if that doesn't it's gonna be the window regulator.
Driver side of upper intake manifold. Just behind the IAC valve. IAC is just behind the throttle body.
