Hinduism has been involved in many religious conflicts, most notably a huge conflict with the competing religion of Islam, which has placed the nation of India at odds (and periodically at war) with its neighboring nation of Pakistan. In the island of Sri Lanka off the east coast of India, Hindu Tamils are in conflict with Buddhist Sinhalese. Christians in India are being persecuted by Hindus. So there seems to be a lot of intolerance. Of course, Hindusim isn't any more intolerant than any other major world religion. It is a constant problem with religions. Aside from that negative note, Hindusim should be noted for the creation of yoga, a form of exercise and meditation which is popular even among non-Hindus. The religious cult of Krishna Consciousness is an offshoot of Hinduism. Hare Krishna!
