Halfway between the equator and the South Pole (a total latitude angle of 90°) would be 45° S latitude.

One-fourth of the way around the planet in longitude is 90° W latitude (one-fourth of 360°).

So you are at 45° S and 90° W, which is in the Pacific Ocean west of South America, about 700 miles off the west coast of Chile.
