The fuel pump inertia switch is located in the right front passenger area. It is below the dash but above the carpet in the right hand corner. If you do not smell gas or have any gas leaking, push the button down that has popped up on the top of the switch. This will allow power to your electric fuel pump.
It might be a fault with the anti-theft feature. Ford has had several recalls due to this. Web search for safety recall on faulty key-in-ignition chime. I had the same problem with my 1998 Ford Explorer Sport although it started chiming all by itself. On my Exlorer there is a set of 5 wires in a yellow sheath running from the ignition module to a brown connection point/harness in a very uncomfortable position directly under the steering column above the pedals. I unplugged the connection at this point. The pinging, or ringing chime comes from the multifunction computer located under the dash behind the radio. Hope this help.
Follow the + battery cable from battery should connect to starter solenoid (relay)
The fog light bulb on a 2004 Chevy cavalier LS sport should come on when the lights are activated. If it doesn't, first check the fuse for the fog lights, then the bulb, and then the switch. One of these things is likely to be the cause of a light not working.
Most likely your smart key is at fault, when this smart key are going bad sometimes the blinkers, seat, radio, wipers and possible other accesories malfuction... you need to order a new key from the dealership.

try to inspect your your lock and tumbler or key ignition switch.
The switch is located at the top of the pedle it just unscrues be sure to count the number of turnes and replace new switch the same way.
changing the ignition switchfirst you have to take the steering wheel off.then you have to to have a tool called a steering wheel lock plate remocer/installer to remove the plate under the wheel .then you need to remove the turn signal switch (there is four screws holding it in , remember how you take it off )after that you have a little torx screw that you remove so you can slide the ignition out of the column .use the same directions in reverse to put the system back together with the new ignition switch
Battery Battery cables Neutral switch (if auto) Clutch safety switch (if std) Starter Starter solenoid switch Ignition switch do other functions work? (wipers, turn signals, radio, etc.)
Right side of the stering wheel. Insert the key, turn clockwise and release when engine goes brumm.. brumm..
You probably need to get an automotive locksmith to pull out the barrel of the ignition, clean it out and open up the "vee" that allows the levers to turn.
If you know the battery and ignition switch is good, then the best way is to take it off the vehicle and have it tested at almost any Auto Parts Store.
