The vacuum line diagram for a 1988 Nissan Z24i can be found in its maintenance manual. It can also be found in the cars repair manual.
.032
4 Cyl engines through to 1990. Engine ID # is stamped on a pad on the right side of the engine block except for the Z24i which is on the left. Most engines are the Z22, 4 cyl, with 8 spark plugs.
On a 1987 Nissan Hardbody Pickup, the PCV valve is located between the alternator and the oil filter. The valve can be seen when the oil filter has been removed.
Yes.
It should be check after the fuel filter and it should be approximately 37 psi.
Try this link that I just found... http://nissannut.com/projects/z24i_fuel_injection/ I just found this about five minutes ago. I also have the same problem. I think it will help. theharemguy@gmail.com
For the Z24i and KA24 engines, the "cylinder head to front cover" torque specification is 3 to 8 foot-pounds (or 4 to 10 Nm)
For the Z24i inline 4 cylinder 2.4L the firing order is 1-3-4-2 If you have the V6 if they had one it will be 1-2-3-4-5-6*1
As a matter of fact, I just replaced mine a couple weeks ago. If you have the z24i, it will be located on the side of the crankcase. With the air cleaner removed, look down between the intake and the valve cover, there will be a hose that plugs into the block. Pull the hose off an voila! there's the PCV valve. Good luck! ~Lizzard
