The "November Revolution" is more properly referred to as the October Revolution since it was October in Russia at that time.

The results were that the Provisional Government under Alexander Kerensky was overthrown by Vladimir Lenin and his Bolshevik followers who then took power to themselves alone rather than sharing it with the other revolutionary parties.

A socialist (not communist) form of government was imposed on the country with all land and factories being nationalized and the private ownership of property was abolished.

The Russian Civil War broke out.

Eventually Russia became ruled by the leaders of the Bolshevik party (which changed its name to the Communist Party) to the exclusion of virtually everyone else.
