Romanian language is a language of Latin origin; surprisingly the territory of Romania is isolated from the territories of the other countries having a language of Latin origin.
The principal cause was the invasion of migratory peoples in the Central Europe (Slavic peoples, Hungarians, Huns, Avars, Bulgarians, etc.).

∙ 14y agoBecause the Romanian language is a language of Latin (Romanic) origin, it creates links for Romania beyond its location in east Europe. Major Romance languages include French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Minor Romance languages include Catalan, Corsican, Occitanian, and Sicilian. Major and minor Romance languages tend to be spoken in west and south Europe, as well as in coastal North Africa and throughout Latin America and parts of the United States of America.
