I believe they are 8" by 9"
Crutchfield.com states that you can use up to 6"x8" in front doors and the same for rear deck.
The front speakers on a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am are 4x6. The rear speakers on a Pontiac Grand Am are 6x9.
Rear Deck Speakers Are 6x9" and the front door panel speakers are 5 1/4"

You need to remove the rear seat to access the speakers and remove the covers.
Not that I know of , just rear wheel drive on a Mercury Grand Marquis from the factory
