How to Positive battery terminal replace 05 Acura TL?

Getting a factory terminal is likely not worth it. First make sure the battery cable has enough slack to cut off the terminal, shave back the insulation and use a new terminal. If you don't have enough slack, you'll need to replace the entire cable. If you have enough, remove the battery to save yourself from accidentally grounding/shorting our the battery. Remove the negative battery cable, then remove the positive. Remove the battery. Cut the battery cable where the terminal is. Strip about an inch of insulation. For my 2003 TL, I had to use the truck size terminal from Autozone as the normal one would not fit the 2 battery cables. Truck size = $3.50, car size = $2.99, not a big difference. Make sure the cable is free of corrosion. If there is any of the powder blue dust, clean it all out with a wire brush. Get the battery cable into the new terminal and tighten. Use electrical tape to cover any excess uncovered battery cable. Pop the battery back in, install the positive terminal then the negative terminal.

Remove battery and install new one of the same size and capacity as the old. Secure hold down bolt (s). Reconnect the Positive terminal first then the negative terminal last. Turn the ignition on and radio on and reset codes. Traction warning light may be on but will go out after driving a short distance

What you need to know to replacing Nissan maxima 97 battery?

First disconnect the Negative terminal cable, then the positive cable (with red cover). Remove the battery holddown. Remove the plastic battery cover, then the battery. Make sure the new battery is of the proper size (see chart in store). Reverse procedure, making sure you connect the Positive terminal first and the negative terminal last (it's a good idea to clean the inside of the cable terminals with emery cloth or steel wool). When putting in the new battery, be careful that the negative cable does not fall into the space below or you will have to remove the new battery to get to it. Start the engine and reset the clock and radio presets.

How do you replace the battery on my 2004 Accord?

All auto parts stores will install it free of charge, assuming you can get it there. If you cant; make sure you buy the correct size replacement, then; to remove: disconnect the negative (-) terminal, disconnect the positive (+), remove any bolts or straps that are holding it down and remove the battery. There will be something holding it in place, either a bar across the top, a strap, or a "wedge" that is bolted in to the battery tray To install; attach any bar, strap, or bolt that is holding the battery. Remove the plastic terminal cap, connect the + terminal, then the - terminal. If you have an alarm, make sure you have your remote, it will start going off once the second terminal is connected, and your head will be right by the horn/siren. Make sure you never short a car battery (do not let anything metal contact both posts, and always disconnect the (-) terminal first and attach it last). Wash your hands after handling the battery.

Change the battery on a 2003 BMW r1150rt?

You will have to remove the seat. Remove the left mirror. Remove the entire left fairing. The battery is under the cover between your legs. When you have the left fairing off you can see the battery. You WILL have to get the correct battery size since the tray is a certain size. Reverse what yo had to do to get to the battery.

How do you replace battery on a 2003 Saab 9 3?

I am assuming this is not a 2003 Saab 93 convertible. I don't have any specific details about that particular model. All other 2003 Saab 93s take a BCI group size 48[1] battery. This battery is available (in the USA) almost anywhere that sells car batteries, even if they don't list the Saab 93 in their application guide. A BCI group 47 battery, which is smaller, can also be used if a group 48 battery is not available. To replace the battery: 1. remove the battery cover (two plastic screw clips) 2. make sure the key is out of the ignition switch, 3. disconnect the negative terminal with a wrench 4. disconnect the positive terminal with a wrench 5. use a socket and an extension to remove the battery hold-down on the edge of the battery 6. remove the battery from the tray To install the battery: 1. put the battery in the tray 2. use a socket and an extension to tighten the hold-down on the edge of the battery (if you use a group 47 battery you will need to install the hold-down bolt in a different hole than it was in with the original group 48 size battery). 3. connect the positive terminal with a wrench. (It may be necessary to trim the edge of the battery tray with a file due to the fact that many group 48/47 batteries are a little shorter than the original battery. If the terminal hits the edge of the battery tray this is why) 4. connect the negative terminal with a wrench. 5. replace the battery cover. [1]In the USA car battery sizes are specified as group sizes. In Europe DIN sizes are used. I have no idea what the equivalent DIN sizes for the Saab battery are, but in Europe I suspect there will be no problem finding on that fits.
