Is there a way to convert an FM antenna input plug on a home stereo into a 3.5mm jack?

there are adaptors available to do this

What is meant by a 3 stage FM transmitter?

There are 3 stages of an FM transmitter which allow you to transmit information over the FM band. These 3 stages need to be integrated into a single circuit to form what is known as a 3 stage FM transmitterA modulator circuit to add the information to be transmitted to the carrier wave produced by the oscillator. This is done by varying some aspect of the carrier wave. The information is provided to the transmitter either in the form of an audio signal, which represents sound, a video signal, or for data in the form of a binary digital signal. In an FM (frequency modulation) transmitter the frequency of the carrier is varied by the audio signal. Many other types of modulation are also used. In large transmitters the oscillator and modulator together are often referred to as the exciter. An RF power amplifier to increase the power of the signal, to increase the range of the radio waves. An impedance matching (antenna tuner) circuit to match the impedance of the transmitter to the impedance of the antenna (or the transmission line to the antenna), to transfer power efficiently to the antenna. If these impedances are not equal, it causes a condition called standing waves, in which the power is reflected back from the antenna toward the transmitter, wasting power and sometimes overheating the transmitter.

Which type of modulation is used in TV transmission?

In television system for video transmission AM is used and for audio transmission FM is used....

Why power amplifier used in FM transmitter?

Amplifier is used in an FM transmitter to increase the level of a signal suitable for transmission

Why is a limiter used in FM?

limiter mainly used to limit the amplitude of FM waveform.because of, in FM the frequency only varied but amplitude also varied due to noise . to cancel the amplitude variation limiter mainly used

What is an Antenna FM Trap?

The FM Trap is used to reduce offending FM signals that can cause audio and video interference. Designed to attenuate the entire FM band and Average -26dB. It's a piece of hardware between the antenna and the preamplifier.

check your antenna connections.

Why would your car radio be getting AM but not FM?

It is possible to receive AM signals without an antenna, FM signals, however, require an antenna to be received. The standard FM antenna is around 72 inches for the quarter wave length at the middle of the FM band. Assuming the radio is not broken, try checking to see if the antenna has become disconnected or broken. You can remove an old working antenna from another vehicle and plug it into the antenna jack of your radio to see if the signal comes through. Older vehicles all use the same type of jack. Newer and some imports use a smaller jack. You can get an adapter from an auto parts store or off the internet (eBay).

Where is the FM antenna?

You need to be more specific. Where is the FM antenna on what? The FM antenna at a radio staion could be on a mountain. FM is called line of site transmission. Meaning, it shoots a beam , or wave, in a staight line to your antenna on your car or house. So, FM can be heard even if you are going through a tunnel, provided there are no mountains to block the signal. It is also called Frequency Modulation. AM is Amplitude Modulation. It is bounced up and down between the atmospere and the ground, until it hits your antenna. So, AM can even be heard if mountains block your signal. It simply bounces over and on top of them to your antenna. Where is your car?

Where is it possible to buy an FM antenna?

Can a uhf vhf antenna receive FM radio broadcast?

Any antenna can receive anything, but not very well unless it's the correct length for the frequency you're trying to receive. Yes, this antenna will work well so you will not need a special FM only antenna.
