You should not use soaps that contain perfumes, dyes, lanolins, moisturizers, oils, etc.....our dermatologist recommends 2 & only 2: Dove Free & Gentle or Basis.....personally I have used Basis for more than 15 years & I love it.....you can buy it at Walmart or even Walgreens (it's a little more expensive there), it's near the Neutrogena Products, not the regular soaps. It's not BAD for eczema. It depends how bad the eczema is. The cleanser is nice and gentle, which is good for eczema sufferers. Moisturizer is just that. So it helps, but will not heal the eczema. Amino Genesis's Cocoon Body Lotion is the thing for eczema.

Some dermatologists will recommend taking bleach baths for eczema. One of the problems in treating eczema, particularly if it is stubborn, is that there is usually staph infection in the broken skin which irritate it much much more and keep the itch scratch cycle going. The bleach baths will help stem the infection (keep in mind that the bleach is very much diluted usually about 1/2 to a full cup in an entire bath tub). Have the doctor do a wound culture to make sure that you do in fact have an infection, and if the bleach dries or irritates your skin you can ask to be put on an oral antibiotic instead such as Dicloxacillin.
