I think that you would need to do a layer of primer, then a layer of epoxy might be best.Epoxy is what's recommended for garage floors, I think it would work on your parking symbols. For more information on the joys of epoxy:http://www.housepaintingtutorials.com/epoxy-garage-floor-covering.html
Yes it does, it also makes a lot of mess ,
From my experience, electric paint guns such as the Wagner Power Sprayer perform poorly. In a word, they suck. I've found that if you add a little paint thinner to your paint they tend to work a lot better. If you want a nice job, try to rent a commercial grade airless paint sprayer. It does a lot better job and wastes a lot less paint. Reserve the unit and make sure all your prep is done. The units frequently rent by the hour. Bring it home, blow on your coating, and take it back.
I just finished doing it. I rented a sandblaster from a rental store with the air compressor. It put out a bunch of air at 180 PSI. It ran $130 a day and took two days. I have a 20' x 44' pool. I used 4500 lbs of sand which I sifted and reused what I could. Total cost was around $600 to do it by myself. It was lot of work, but it did remove all of the paint. There were 8 layers of paint, various type. Epoxy, rubber and latex which is why I had to sandblast. It isn't difficult to use, but very slow work.

There are a great many different private parking lot car accidents. This is the most common type of accident in fact.
Most likely because the paint on it absorbs all visible wavelengths in sunlight EXCEPT the yellow ones. Note: The same principle applies if the yellow car is in a showroom, on a highway, or in a junkyard, as well as in a parking lot.

A parking lot, generally made of blacktop or concrete, would have more runoff. Grass, with earth below it, would absorb more water. Blacktop cannot be penetrated by water. Concrete can absorb water, but only a very little, especially as compared to a grassy field.
