∙ 15y agoTexas was the last Confederate state to regain Congressional representation after the Civil War, on March 30, 1870. However, Georgia actually rejoined twice, because the Congress did not approve of the operation of the state government. The second resumption of representation came on July 15, 1870, and so Georgia is often considered the last.
