Hi my 04 Shadow speedo became erratic and finally gave up. The speedo is electronic and the plug on the back of the speedo was the problem. I removed the plug a treated with WD40. I removed and replaced several times to allow the pins to move in and out of the connector an clean the inner surface. Hey Presto, now works great and has for the last 4000 miles. Hope this helps someone. Takes about 15 mins.
