Most likely you have a worn CV joint. It is usual to replace with a rebuilt assembly the entire affected driveaxle assembly which includes the CV joints. Auto parts stores sell rebuilt driveaxle assemblies with lifetime warranty (I cashed in on one once!) for about $90. Drew

It would pull sharply to the right.
Centrifugal force is a problem when turning at fast speeds.
Are you sure that it is the engine making the noise? Your vehicle is front wheel drive, which means that there are Constant Velocity joints in the axles. When these joints wear out, they start to make a clicking noise when the vehicle is turned sharply, which could be misconstrued as engine dieseling or knocking.
I'd try changing tires, worked for me.

Might need new spark plugs and maybe spark plug wires too.
It stands for speed volume control. The higher the setting, the louder your radio will play at highway speeds.
spyder gears allow the rear or front wheels to rotate at different speeds wich is what wheels do while turning, the wheels travel at dif speeds
Rear diff fluid
Rotors out of round - should be resurfaced or replaced
Change the plugs ans wires. If it is still there have a wet and dry compression test done.
