most likely it is the gas pump it doesn't opporat perfectly if the AirCondition was on, from my experience if the car did realy shut down you just park for a while about fifteen minutes and then start again. the gas pump is usually under the back seat and if you turn the switch on only you can hear the gas pump sound if not that means it's not working at all. if you want to cool the gas pump on a hot climet you may fill the car up and keep it full, since the gas cools the pump when it shakes in the tank.
Could be a coil or ICM, Ignition Control Module.
Fuel Pump! That's what happened to mine.
the brake has seized take the wheel off and beat the brake with a hammer
if the demister does not work, you should check the contacts on the respective windshield or it also could be a problem with the relay
Yes If you know that it is broke don't attempt to start it or you cause more harm if harm isn't already caused
Sounds like the thrust bearing is worn, gearbox out to change this, may as well change clutch at same time.
Yes, as the mixture would run lean and possible misfires could occur.
I would recommend taking it to a mechanic and have them listen to it. Everyone's definition of "knocking" is slightly different. Try not to drive it for too long; engine knocks can usually cause pretty severe damage to an engine.
No, the system is only checked at normal operating pressure. No, the system is only checked at normal operating pressure.
If you have a manual transmission, then it sounds like your clutch is slipping and needs to be replaced. If the RPM's of the engine are roaring and your car is barely moving, that would be my first assumption. Mechanic.
The normal engine operating temperature for a 1987 Mustang GT is around 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Anything above 220 degrees Fahrenheit might cause the engine to overheat.
It could possibly be an additive in the fuel. Some types of fuel injector cleaner can clean as well as possibly damage fuel injectors. It's also possible that debris from somewhere in the fuel lines is getting into them. It wouldn't hurt to change the fuel filter and check the fuel pressure to see if the fuel pump is operating correctly. Another possibility might be the electrical side of the system.
