ok im not a 100% sure on this, but check your Power Steering fluid. on newer vihicles the power steering actually has something that affects the transmission. it could eventually cause it to go in to what is called a "lope mode". and i will pretty much just stay in second gear and wont shift out. Is your Bonneville supercharged? If the supercharger is going out it will also whine.
When the wheel and the tire rub together.
If the noise sounds like a power steering whine it could be caused by the A/C compressor clutch bearing or the belt idler pulley.
crankshaft position censor
Probably it didn't know you were there, or it didn't want to get up.
low fluid would cause this or the pump could be going out
Bad torque converter? Bad Power steering pump or low fluid?
If you're new to a supercharged car then you're most likely hearing the normal whine that a supercharger makes. They will whine louder the more you accelerate. 00gtp
I had that problem with mine and it was the bearings going out in the alternater. So try replaceing the alt.
Yes they will. They would whine.
The correct way to spell it would be "whining".
Check a wiring diagram for your Bonneville (Mitchell, or Chilton) Most likely a blower relay stuck in on position.
