The women's suffrage movement that finally led to their right to vote gave politics a broader span of "voices" on election issues. Generally speaking, it took Western nations some time before women were given the rights they were entitled too. In the US, the 19th amendment of 1920 gave women their voting rights. If we didn't have the 19th Amendment then women wouldn't have the right to vote and would still be stuck at home doing "women's work". Which is taking care of the children and her husband's needs. There also wouldn't be a woman's influence in politics and government...maybe that would be a good thing...I don't know! :) However, I doubt women would have gotten along for this for much longer...that is why we have the 19th Amendment...they were completely fed up and I don't blame them
