What would make a 93 gmc1500 backfire and spit back out of the throttle body has new distributor coil and ecu ran fine for 2 weeks and now doesn't even start?

Black and damp spark plugs are a sign that there is either too much fuel in the combustion chamber or not enough of a spark to ignite the fuel. The white "smoke" you see coming out of the throttle body are fumes from the fuel. You might want to check the condition of the inside of the distributor cap or the rotor tip for corrosion. Also inspect for cracks on the distributor cap and the condition of the spark plug wires (both ends - but especially where they plug into the distributor cap).
You removed the wire inside the distributor and when you installed the replacement the car doesnt start?

If it has a distributor it doesnt have a crank position sensor. The magnetic pickup in the distributor is what you would be looking for. The module is either on the side of the distributor or on the firewall against the drivers inner fender.

It will have to be somehow attached to the throttle valve. Clamp the cable so that it doesnt moves then attach it to the vavle and it should go back and forth. The more the valve is openend then the more rpms it should have. Good luck.
