Communism has not fallen. The Soviet Union fell in 1991, but "communism" such as it is in the real world, is still alive in other countries. Karl Marx would disagree that his brand of communism is alive, (and it isn't) but Marx was a difficult guy to get along with.

Answer 1Vietnam's communist regime is still in tight control over the country to this day and we're still awaiting it's fall. Vietnam is heavily dependent on Chinese military and political support to maintain power, as their was a failed military coup to topple the regime in the 90s. The policy of 'Doi Moi' (New Future) in 1991 introduced a capitalist economic system, but with no political democratization and freedom for it's people, and it's people are still oppressed and deprived of basic human rights and freedoms today. Vietnam is politically like communist China.
