Most cats give birth in early summer, while some give birth later in the fall. There are usually between 4 and 6 kittens per litter. It is possible for cats to give birth at other times during the year, and even common in warmer climates. However, in more northerly climates where it gets colder in the winter it is more common for them to give birth in late spring or early summer.
